I started with Work Sharp after seeing a TV show on DIY network. The updated Mk2 still uses the 1/2 inch belts of the KTS, but can change the speeds of the belt for different jobs.
Speed and Controls
The red switch will allow you to change the belt speed and the knurled tab behind the belt allows you to rotate the head for sharpening tools like lawn mower blades.
Angle Guide Settings
To sharpen kitchen knives, you pull the lever up to switch the angle guide to 20 degrees.
Knife and Tool Sharpener Belts
The stock belts come as a set of two 80, two 220 and two 6000 grit belts. Other grits are available.
